On this album, Peter Hatch plays a magnificent viola made for him in 1978 by David Wiebe of David City, Nebraska. His bow is a "Spicatto" model graphite bow by Benoit Rolland fitted with tungsten
steel wire bow hair. The piano is a Yahama Model C-5 Disklavier.
The artists wish to dedicate this album to all the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001.

performance was captured live on December 17, 2000 at the Westwood Hills Christian Church and includes Beethoven's Spring Sonata, Debussy's Sonata for Violin and Piano in
g-minor, Tchaikovsky's Melodie and Valse-Scherzo, Two Melodies (from five Melodies) for Violin and Piano Opus 35 by Prokofieff, and as encore, Schubert's
hauntingly beautiful Ave Maria transcribed for Violin and Piano.
Roberto Cani currently lives in Los Angeles and travels extensively on concert tours. He had just returned from concerts and teaching masterclasses in the Far
